So yesterday was V day. I am beginning to detest V days. Too many people. too many couples. too many flowers. everywhere fully booked. too commercialized. too surface level. told people my opinion on V day and they just said, 'let's wait till you are attached.' hahaha. oh well, I don't believe in Valentine's Day and I don't believe in having a day to signify how much you love one another. To me, V day is just a marketing gimmick for florists to reach their annual sales target and for jewellery shops to mark up their prices to burn the pockets of the poor blokes. Try buying flowers and going to restaurants today and you will realise everything will be back to normal pricing. ha! it's behaving like the stock market isn't it!
In future, I shall stay home, cook a nice meal and just chill indoors on V days. Alone, with my close friends or my loved ones. at least it sounds like a plan. a practical, some may say sweet/boring, plan. no more having dinner outside, surrounded by tables occupied by young couples - additional negative point highlighted! (Disclaimer: Plan above is subjected to changes depending on the mood of the blogger.)
Heard a dumb joke on the radio which I almost LOL-ed in the office.
On a V day morning,
Wife: Honey, I dreamt that you would be giving me a pearl necklace tonight. So what do you think it means?
Husband: You will know tonight *grins*
So, during dinner, the husband took out a little blue box with a nice silver ribbon over it. When the wife opened the box, she saw a book with the title, 'The meaning of dreams'.
HA, HA, HA.
