i realised i haven really been blogging about my internship at SIF. oh well. not that its that interesting afterall. so today, its finally the end of 3 weeks in SIF and its also the last day in the mortgage release team so next week ill be at hp team which is located at the far end of the office. the people at the mortgage release team are pretty nice and there are many temp peeps to entertain me. oh yes they are pretty evil too. this week i was pretty busy in the office and one of them told the other, 'wow. leepeng seems quite busy huh!' 'yar! recently only. hahahaha.' and then ytd, i was so busy that i could only get back to my table 15 mins before i was knocked off. den one commented,'wah! so busy ah! first time right?' GOSHHH! thanks for reminding me how slack i have been for the past 2 weeks.

oh yes! and today's my pay day!! 200+++ for the work i have done for the past two weeks when the temps are getting like 4 times my pay!?! and i always have to console myself that im there for the experience, not the pay. though i dun think i have learnt that much. as in, the stuff that i learnt here most prob cant be applied in other companies coz of the difference in procedures. but i guess the most impt thing is to train ur attitude towards work. like no matter wad ur supervisor asked u to do, even if she ask u to do saigang job like photocopying 97308409328 pages of documents, do it well though u are unwilling to do it. yeps.

i spent like 1.5 nights completing my e-logbook and then submitted to my deputy manager this morning. btw shes not the one teaching me, its those two girls who are YOUNGER than me teaching me the tasks they handle everyday. and the deputy manager was pretty shocked when she read the e-logbook coz she didnt expect it to be so detailed (eh actually i dun think its detailed. 2.5 pages abt wad i have learnt for the past 3 weeks is considered little i feel). anw she TOLD me that she expected her girls to ask me to do photocopying and filing like wad most interns do. wah. luckily they didnt or else ill be sitting with the temps who will keep reminding me every min how slack i am. ok, lets hope that the next section im gg to will be more fulfilling than this time.

TGIF!! and this coming weekend will be packed with activities. feel like running over to simply bread tml and i think ill prefer my bed to my shoes on a saturday morning. hurhur. and i feel like watching sex and the city next week or sth. seems like a movie to watch with ur girlfriends even though i didnt watch any episodes of it.

and i totally love and hate sundays.

i have made a super stupid mistake on wednesday and sabotaged one of my closest friend ytd. im really really sorry even if u doubt my sincerity. anw, ur harsh words made a deep impact on me, though i have no idea if u really mean wad u said (75% true perhaps). haiz. depressing.

earlier this week, i spotted an eye candy in my office and he's from the marketing department. dressed super smart (one of the few who wear a tie in the office),in his thirties maybe, good with words and super entertaining. gosh i was indeed mesmerised by him though i have only seen him twice in my department. and my heart cried when mindy told me he's married with kids this afternoon. sighhhh. why are all the eligible guys taken!! ):

i was talking to jiahui just now and i really do appreciate that he's indeed very patient, listening to all my grumblings for the past 2 nights. thanks friend!! and wad he said really makes a lot of sense. 'it is never difficult to care for someone it is the willingness tat matters'. how true is that man! it is really effortless to show concern, just that whether u are actually bothered to do so or not. i guess some dun really care.

ok. e-logbook aka crapping time.

OMG. now even mari asked me to run with her on sat b4 trng. i think im in the club. shucks. shit. argh. ):

tonight i just feel damn irritated with some pple i met today. ok not some just one particular person. yeps just one and i felt so irritated that i couldnt sleep now even at 1am. see how much harm that person has caused me. i cant believe that when pple said sth negative abt u, i would try to said sth nice like 'oh i dun think she did it on purpose' or 'i dun think she meant that'. and now i experience it myself. GREAT. such a simple conversation and i had to raise my voice and face such sarcastic remarks in such a short time span. told her wad happened in the office and she doesnt seem interested in a single sh*t of wad i have said. if i did sth wrong or pissed u or wad u can just tell me. being sarcastic to me isnt really the best solution for me. and i dun think i deserve such treatment.

i am indeed very proud of myself last morning. woke up at 8am to meet ps b4 heading to chit's place for a run to mount faber. seriously i dun rmb the last time i was there. primary school maybe? anw it was so crowded!! tourists, senior folks and even young punks like us were gathered there. oh i shall take back the young punks. lol. anw in the end we only managed to run like 15 mins and den rested for like 30 mins, den spent another 2 hrs walking back to chit's place. we were damn pathetic then, only 40 cents with us and we even had to go jx's place to ask her for 2 bucks to buy our bingbang! morale of the story? bring money with u when u run, not just 40 cents like wad chit did. hahaha

next route to run? i wanna go botanic gardens!! sixth avenue sounds GREAT too!! especially when our end point is at guthrie house's simply bread or sth. WOOTS! ok i sound like a pig here. LOL

and yes! we should really run more often since we are like aching all over now. hahaha

GSS IS HERE!! oh well, supposed to go shopping with sis ytd afternoon, but we had last min changes and we ended up at holland v where u wun be able to see any SALES sign ard. and this coming weekend i dun think ill be in town too since there are sooo many activities coming up. meeting up with peeps i haven seen for ages seems like a better option any time!

and i seriously suck at saving up. went for lunch with mindy and yihui today. wanted to settle with subway but changed my mind and decided to try the caifan yihui recommended at some super ulu place and guess wad??! it cost me like 5 bucks and it sucked! didnt even finish half of the food on my plate. regreted not having lunch at subway. and i suddenly miss eating caifan during nj days. u know. no matter how many sides u choose its still 2 bucks and its filled with homemade goodness. oh boy, i actually miss those days!




oh yes! b4 i forget i met up with miss ang last friday. ok its nth interesting coz its her and we didnt bicker as much as when we did with chit. yes i really do think chit is the main culprit. anw im digressing. we went to some korean restaurant at far east level one for dinner and i tell u.. ITS FREAKING googoogoogoogooGOOOOD!! *trying to imitate jj but failed terribly* we had the bbq set which includes 2 sets of meat, seaweed soup which was totally left untouched and 6 side dishes which were refillable. shiok for those who love veg and those who think eating korean food make them more korean.

leepeng is back to laziness on a saturday morning again!! woke up at 8 am to change into my jogging attire and went back on my bed again. slept til my mum woke me up for breakfast. well done lp. thanks to ps, i am so gonna make an effort to run tml. will be meeting ps and chit and perhaps run ard mount faber and den enjoy a cool, lovely brunch on a lazy sunday morning. cant wait! had a gossip girl marathon this afternoon. not bad. i managed to complete abt 4 episodes with 2 more remaining, thats if there's only 18 episodes for season 1. my fav character in that show? its gotta be RUFUS HUMPHREY!! ok i really do think i have a thing for older guys. i think zhu houren, george clooney are hot. i like yunho who happens to be the oldest in the group too. but RUFUS!! hes a hot dad ok! who's quite strict with his kids and pretty funny too. hes some rock singer in the show btw. woots!

so one week of PA has passed. and then my long weekend has passed - even faster. well i realised that time passes pretty fast when u are NOT working. seriously, one week of work has made me want to really cherish my last yr in pulau NTU. working in sif is too boring and when everyone i know is busy finishing up wat they need to complete b4 they can call it a day, i am actually counting down to 615pm. and the company im working at is a SCAM!! it doesnt deal with investment at all. i seriously feel cheated. ): but the people there are nice. at least they are pretty friendly and helpful. just that i dunno what i should write in my e logbook. 'i learnt how to use the typewriter today' sounds super trivial. rahhhhhh!!!

oh yes!! my sis has finally made a reservation at island resort on 19th july!! i was busy looking thru the chalets to see which were available on the 19th and yes!! though its only may now, many chalets are not available in the month of july. amazing or wad. and when everything was settled and my sis has made the reservation, i realised 19th july is a saturday!! got trng!!! oh shucks!! now i have no idea wad i should do abt it. oh my!!

but anw!! those who are reading this, whether u are gesscanoeing peeps/classmates/njcanoeing peeps/classmates/ntu peeps and even those who are overseas on that very day which include jessine, chit, hy, andrew, xt ( u see!! so many are missing on my birthday!! sad or wad!!), pls mark this day on ur calendar and start thinking of wad to buy for me. LOL!! ok im kidding.

and i have beem really hardworking the past erm 2 days!! i ran on both sat and sun!! woots! 5km each! im aiming to complete a 21k marathon at the end of 2008. but i have yet to find a running partner. any1 interested? (:

so today is the first day for PA. woke up at 7am, left my place at 745 and i reached the station at 810!! i realised many of us are working around tanjong pagar area. at the station, i saw yf, hs, ge and wy. and during lunch we saw kugen! seems like the whole world is working here. and i seriously cant stand the crowd. super packed at the station in the morning. packed again during lunch hour and den after work. super sian to the max. went amoy hawker for lunch and its like 15 mins walk from sing inv, den another 10 to look for seats (and i tell u they really use tissue packets to chope seats!!) and the queue was like freaking longgggg everywhere!!! by the time we can actually sit and enjoy our food, we realised we only have 15 mins to eat b4 we need to head back to the office.

anw today's pretty slack. our supervisor wasnt ard. but we dun have any pc at our workstation so cant msn! so the only thing we can do is to read a 89890348097 pages thick file consisting of all the guidelines and regulations of SIF. for the whole day. so all i did today was flipping through the file, refilling my bottle and going to the washroom. repeat. today, i realise the most difficult thing to do in the office is to pretend to be busy when u are not. and yes. that was wad we did for abt 6 hrs today. hurhur. im praying hard tml will be sth different. hopefully.





after work, we had some mini gathering for andrew b4 he goes to the US on wednesday. it was pretty last min coz initially it was supposed to be just mindy and him, plus his brother. den in the end, there were so many 'light bulbs'. lol. went marina square's waraku for dinner. and i have to say that the food is pretty good!! esp the udon with cream base! its very awesome until u reach the end when u ll soon get sick of the cream. the rest of the sides look pretty interesting but pricey too, esp for an intern who earns 3 an hour. sobs

oh yes!! after almost 1 week of internal struggle, i decided to upload photos of me with my new haircut. it really requires me to pluck up the courage to upload these. haha ok im exaggerating here.

met up with jessine, chit, jingxiu and chaikee at orchard today. surprisingly, ck wasnt late. ok she was late but she wasnt as late as we expected. it was MS XIEE who was like 1.5hrs late. BESTTT!! had lunch at dingtaifeng and frankly speaking, it was my first time there. ok im really a mountain tortoise (wat to do. holland v doesnt have dtf). anw i think the food there isnt that great afterall. ill choose crystal jade la mian anytime man!

after that chit and i went for trng. trng for me was bad. i actually dun rmb when the last time it was good but yar it was one of the worst. 30 mins of sprinting really killed half of me. pretty disheartened and yeps. im currently sitting on the fence now.
